Our Story

Designed on the beaches of Costa Rica. Crafted by the trusted hands of the Mayan.

VIBE Lifestyle is more than fashion—it’s a movement.

Founder Kiki Hoyt, a California native, spent over 15 years designing for global brands—Billabong, PacSun, BCBG Max Azria, and other fashion giants—before realizing the speed and disposability of the industry no longer matched what she believed in.

When the world shifted in 2020, so did she.

Kiki left the United States, traded corporate design for the mountains and jungles of Costa Rica and Guatemala, and immersed herself in a slower, more intentional way of creating.

What began as personal exploration became the foundation of VIBE Lifestyle Store: sustainable slow fashion crafted in deep collaboration with Indigenous Mayan artisans.

A Return to Ancestral Craft

Kiki spent months living between remote villages—meeting artisan families, learning their techniques, and understanding their connection to land, materials, and tradition. This wasn’t a sourcing trip. It was the start of a relationship built on presence, trust, and genuine respect; that continues to this day.

VIBE’s leather goods are handcrafted by Mayan leather artisans whose skills have been passed down for generations, preserved through ritual, community, and lived experience.

We don’t outsource production.

We don’t mass manufacture.

We don’t impose Western systems on Indigenous craft.

Instead, we collaborate directly with artisan families—honoring their traditions, their autonomy, and their mastery, with a fair-wage promise that supports their lives and preserves their craft.

Sustainable by Nature, Not Marketing

Our materials are chosen with intention—not trend.

  • Full-grain leather sourced from Costa Rican cattle, a natural byproduct of the food system.

  • Vegetable tanning and plant-derived dyes, cured in Guatemala using ancestral methods.

  • Small-batch production that prioritizes longevity over volume.

  • Biodegradable materials that return to the earth instead of living forever in landfills.

Let’s be real:

“Vegan leather” is plastic.

Ours is real, durable, and sustainable in the only way that matters:

it’s built to last a lifetime and compost at the end of it.

Every leather piece from VIBE is an investment in your future—

these bags are made to outlive your next relationship.

This is slow fashion in its truest form.

Designed for a Life in Motion

The original Kiki Holster was born from years of global travel.

Kiki needed a bag that could actually keep up—hands-free, secure, functional, and elevated enough for anywhere. Nothing existed. So she designed it.

Every piece begins with real life:

airport lines, boats, quads, backpacks, beaches, city streets, festivals, and the unknown in-between.

The result is functional luxury:

ergonomic, balanced, pickpocket-proof, unisex, and built to last decades.

Who We Create For

If you move through the world with intention, this is for you.

For the nomads.

For the busy mothers, who need hands free.

For the conscious travelers.

For the badasses.

For the creators and originals.

For those who breathe sustainability and style in the same breath.

Our pieces are made for every body, every identity, every way of moving.

There is no gender here—only movement, functionality, and expression.

VIBE is for people who want meaning behind what they wear—

who choose craftsmanship over mass production,

culture over trend,

and intention over excess.

If that’s you, welcome home.

Our Mission

To create luxury goods that support Indigenous artisans, honor ancestral wisdom, and elevate the way people move through the world.

To make sustainability real, not performative.

To build community, not just products.

To keep tradition alive through modern design.

This is more than a brand.

It’s a collaboration between cultures.

A commitment to the earth.

A lifestyle built on connection, intention, and purpose.

Welcome to VIBE

Where sustainable luxury meets ancestral craftsmanship.

Where every piece tells a story.

Where culture, earth, and movement shape everything we create.
